Kitchen
South-East — The Fire Zone
  • Place the kitchen in the South-East corner (Agni zone)
  • Cook facing East — ideal direction for the cook
  • Stove should never be directly below a window or beam
  • Sink should be in the North or North-East of the kitchen (water element)
  • Never place a toilet above or below the kitchen
  • Alternative if SE is unavailable: North-West is acceptable
Remedy for Wrong Kitchen Direction

If kitchen is in North-East: use red and orange colours heavily, keep a Agni yantra, install a skylight if possible. Cooking facing East must be maintained regardless of kitchen location.

Master Bedroom
South-West — The Stability Zone
  • Master bedroom always in South-West (Nairutya zone)
  • Sleeping head direction: South or East — never North
  • Bed placement: South or West wall, never in the center
  • Mirror should not reflect the sleeping person — place on North or East wall
  • No mirror directly facing the bed — covered at night if unavoidable
  • Attached bathroom in South or West — never North-East
Remedy for Bedroom in Wrong Zone

If master bedroom is in North-East: use heavy furniture (solid wood bed), earthy colours (brown, beige, terracotta), and place the bed touching the South or West wall to simulate SW energy.
